Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 12:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary for Mr. Nathan J. Adams, Jr., 73, a native of Franklin and resident of Mandeville, who passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at 4:15 AM at Canon Hospice of New Orleans.

Burial and Military Honors will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services.

Nathan was a good man who loved his family. He was a proud career veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Adams and his wife Karen of Mandeville, Kenneth Adams and his wife Barbara of Gulfport, MS, and Gary Adams of Minneola, IA; one daughter, Teresa Marie Adams Carpenter and her husband Kenneth of Crestline, CA; two brothers, Gary Adams and his wife Barbara of Franklin, and Donald Adams and his wife Peggy of Broussard; three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mary Growtowski Adams; his parents, Nathan J. Adams, Sr. and Elisca Dardenne Adams; and one brother, Raymond Adams.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert's Mortuary from 11:30 until 12:00 PM.
