Army Emblem

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary for James "Jim" Warren Borne, 63, a native of Franklin and a resident of Centerville for over 30 years, who passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 11:15 AM at his home. Father Ruben Primor will officiate the services with Deacon Richard Picard assisting.

Jim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who was an avid outdoorsman. His passion was hunting, fishing, and spending time at the camp with his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Arlene Picard Borne of Centerville; three sons, Scott Borne and his wife Millie of Centerville, Jason Borne and his wife Brandy of Breaux Bridge, and Jonathan Borne of Centerville; one brother, Manville C. Borne, Jr. of Centerville; two sisters, Leeann Borne Pontiff of Baldwin and Gail Borne Hebert of Franklin; one granddaughter, Madelyn Borne of Breaux Bridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manville C. Borne, Sr. and Hazel Vincent Borne; and three brothers, Phillip Charles Borne, Jerry John Borne, and Allen Joseph Borne.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 29, from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, and again Wednesday from 8:00 AM until Mass time.
