A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Theresa "Sue" Frederick Payne, age 86, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin on Friday, February 2, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the rosary being prayed before the Mass. Sue was born at Oaklawn Plantation on November 3, 1931 and passed away at Consolata Home on January 24, 2018, following a long illness.

She enjoyed many years of dancing, gardening, serving as a Pink Lady at Franklin Foundation Hospital and was a member and past president of the Golden Age Club. She lived a long life of loving her family and her animals.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her three daughters, Susan Frederick of Alpharetta, GA, Cindy F. Kight and her husband Don of New Iberia, and Jill F. Gilmore of Morgan City. Her grandchildren include Brittany K. Gill and her husband James of Pearland, TX and Katie K. Lasseigne and her husband Tommy of Lafayette and two great grandchildren, Jacob Morgan and Lillian Lasseigne. She is also survived by her brother, A.J. Boudreaux of Baldwin, Sterling Frederick of New Iberia, numerous nieces, nephews and friends, and especially long-time friend Janet Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace L. Payne, her parents, Albert and Mathilde Boudreaux, her brother and sister-in-law, J.B. Boudreaux and his wife Mona; an infant sister, Mary Boudreaux; her sister-in-law, Bertha Boudreaux; a great-niece, Kiley B. Begnaud; and a great-nephew, Rowdy Boudreaux.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Consolata Home for the care and kindness shown to our mother.
