Lou W. Pichoff Sr., 71, a native of Glencoe, former longtime resident of Franklin, and a resident of Baldwin for the past five years, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Lou was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served stateside during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Power Plant Mechanic for CLECO, where he retired from following 35 years of dedicated service. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and camping. But what truly brought joy to his life was his family whom he deeply loved, especially his grandchildren.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Barbara Chesshire Pichoff; four children, Jennifer Pichoff Duncan and her husband Asa, Lou W. Pichoff Jr., Sophia Pichoff, and Anthony Pichoff; four grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan, and Aidan Duncan, and Maddison Pichoff; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Blanchard Pichoff; and five siblings, Chester Pichoff (infant), Alice Pichoff Perez, John Pichoff Jr., Blossom Pichoff Rineholt, and Lanny A. Pichoff Sr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin on Wednesday, May 9, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. led by Father Lloyd Benoit. Following the service he will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Asa Duncan, Ethan Duncan, Aidan Duncan, Lanny Pichoff Jr., Charles Ardoin, and Mark Mathis.
