Lindy McGill Vinning, a native of Claysville, PA and a longtime resident of Patterson, passed away at the age of 69 on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her brother's home in Patterson following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 2, 1946 to the late Joseph Albert McGill and the late Mary Belle Causey Malzahn. Lindy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who had a wonderful sense of humor and was well loved by all who met her. Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, cooking, reading, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, and tending to her flower garden. Her passion in life though was her family who she simply adored and cherished spending time with. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her loving companion, Joe Prejean; her sons, Austin Vinning, Kevin Vinning and his wife Chauncey, Kirt Vinning and his wife Alida, and Michael Vinning and his wife Stacie; her siblings, James McGill, Kenneth McGill, Bill McGill and his wife Brenda; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis C. Vinning.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 24, 2016, at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Ibert's at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Mark Norwood of First Baptist Church of Patterson will conduct the services.
