Jacob Randall Billington was called home to his heavenly reward at the age of 24 on November 1, 2017, following a 19 month courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX and was a lifelong resident of the Patterson / Bayou Vista area. Jacob was the type of person who was always happy and never complained, even when facing cancer. He loved life and always had a big bright smile on his face. He was a friend to many, was loved by all, and never met a stranger. Jacob was also an avid sports fans, having played basketball and baseball in school, and enjoyed many other sports as well. Jacob left his mark upon this world in such a short time. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife, Rebecca Mayon Billington; his parents, Walter Durapau Jr. and Beverly Durapau; three step-daughters, Layla and Kayla Richard, and Devon Edwards; his twin brother, Jericho Billington; his sister, Jada Durapau; his godchild, Avah Naverro; as well as numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James and Wanda Gross; his paternal grandparents, Walter Durapau Sr. and Marie Savoie Durapau; and his step-daughter, Trinity Edwards.

His life will be celebrated Friday, November 3, 2017, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson during a 4:00 p.m. funeral service, with Brother Blaise Smith officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service. Following the service and final farewell by friends and family Jacob will be cremated.
