Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Glendon Moore, a native of Philadelphia, MS and a 42 year resident of Baldwin who went home to his Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 85 in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. He will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Rev. A. L. Lyles and Rev. James W. Jackson will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Byron and Brent Robicheaux, Ted Halligan, Roger Dylan Moore, Brennan Michael Moore, and Jimmy Alexander. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 14 years, Eva; his eight children, Linda M. Halligan and her husband Tom, Glendon Wayne Moore, Sue M. Buck and her husband Gerald, Debra M. Robicheaux and her husband Jake, Peggy M. Tabor, Judy M. Alexander and her husband Jimmy, Tammy Moore, and Tina M. Mason and her husband Chad; one sister, Melva D. Burton; two brothers, Glendale Moore (his twin) and Willis Moore; Mrs. Eva's children, Rose Loveless, Dianna, James, Gary, and Guy Louviere, and Theresa Hill; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Imogene "Jean" Graham Moore; two sons, Glendon Moore Jr. and James Edward Moore Sr.; two brothers, George and Frank; four sisters, Sadie, Lois, Vestalee, and Johnnie; and two grandchildren.
