Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton for George A. Lange, a native of Morgan City and a lifelong resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 71 on Monday, December 5, 2016, in Lafayette. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Brother Bobby Hodnett will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Carlin, Brady Armstrong, Ben Armstrong, Robert Bailey, Percy Wray and Dean Hebert.

George was a man of all seasons, he enjoyed being outside mastering his carpenter skills or tinkering on motors. He was an offshore consultant working in the oilfield until retirement. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend and will be truly missed by so many.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Survivors include his son, Aaron Lange; daughter, Jean L. Jones and her husband Dan Phil; three brothers, Harry Lange, Carlin Lange and his wife Shirley and Ira "Lee" Lange and his wife Elaine; three sisters, Hester L. Bailey Johnson, Gloria L. Marcotte and Linda L. Armstrong; a devoted niece, Jill Marcotte and his loving godchild, Austin Carlin, along with numerous of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Cook Lange and his parents, Daniel Marcus Lange and Ella Viola Couvillier Lange.
