Miss Frances was born in Franklin on October 20, 1927, the twelfth of thirteen children born to the late Vito Graffeo Sr. and the late Jennie Inzerella Graffeo. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin until two years ago when she moved to St. Martinville to be near her sister and nieces due to her declining health. In her early years, she enjoyed playing softball and tennis, riding bicycles, mowing her grass and keeping her yard nice and neat. She worked for many years at April's Pharmacy, although, most will remember Miss Frances from her time working in the family business, Graffeo's Bakery. She was a parishioner of Church of the Assumption in Franklin and was the last surviving charter member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. She passed away at the age of 89 in the evening hours of Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana in St. Martinville, eight days shy of her 90th birthday. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her sister, Margaret G. Capritto; one sister-in-law, Clara Mae Graffeo Clifton; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eleven siblings, Angelo, Jenny, Tony, Frank, Sam, Vito Jr., Joe, Lena, Irene, Johnny, and Angelo; as well as by numerous other family members and in-laws.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staffs of Landmark of Acadiana and Bridgeway Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Miss Frances in her time of need.
