Funeral services for Florence Winston Thibodaux will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter in the Franklin Cemetery Garden Mausoleum Two. Father Cedric Sonnier will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Brennan Pinell, Cody Pinell, Cameron Broussard, Cohen Arcemont, Jeffrey Liner, and Dakota Liner. Lector for the scripture readings will be Lauren Pinell.

A native of Broussard and was a resident of Franklin for the past 76 years, Ms. Florence passed away at the age of 95 in the evening hours of Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Assumption and dedicated 47 years of faithful service as an Avon Representative, giving out packs of Wrigley's Double Mint Gum when delivering orders to her customers. Ms. Florence was also an avid gardener who took great pride in keeping her home and yard immaculate.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Marguerite T. O'Quinn and Kay T. Lorenzo and her husband Michael; her grandchildren, Roy J. Thibodaux III, Jennie Thibodaux Glisson, Leah Pinell, Jeffrey Liner, Neile Lorenzo, and Carly Ackman; 15 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and her brothers, Howard Winston and Harold Winston and his wife Evelyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. J. Thibodaux Sr., her son, Roy J. Thibodaux Jr.; her daughter, Rosemary "Penny" Thibodaux; her parents, Morey Winston Sr. and Stella Fabre Winston; two brothers, Morey Winston Jr. and Leroy Winston; and one sister, Lorraine Guilbeau.
