Funeral services for Evelyn Arboneaux Guillotte will be held Monday, September 25, 2017, at Church of the Assumption in Franklin during an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Following she will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10:00 a.m.

Evelyn was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, born on March 26, 1919, one of five children born to the late Howard Arboneaux Sr. and the late Cecile Hidalgo Arboneaux. She passed away at the age of 98 on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. In her early years she worked for the telephone company until going to work for Mr. Kinky Robicheaux with State Farm where she retired from many years ago. Evelyn enjoyed watching her religious programs on TV as well as knitting and crocheting. She was also a big college sports fan, especially LSU.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her sister, Lettie Arboneaux Chapron; sister-in-law, Patricia "Pat" LaJaunie Arboneaux; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy J. "Sweet" Guillotte Sr.; her son, Leroy J. "Lee" Guillotte Jr.; her sister, Cecile "C.D." Arboneaux Martin and her husband S.J.; her brothers, Howard "Bobby" Arboneaux Jr. and his wife Betty and Warren "Jip" Arboneaux; and her brother-in-law, Charles Leroy Chapron.
