Funeral services for Elizabeth Picard Migues will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Brendan Comeaux, Dylan Landry, Robert OConnor, Ernest Landry, Eric Landry Sr., and Ashley Landry..

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 21, at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Elizabeth, a native and longtime resident of Franklin and recent resident of Centerville, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend. She loved to play bingo and cards, enjoyed sewing, and was an avid baseball fan, particularly the Yankees and the Braves. She passed away at the age of 85 on Thursday, October 20, 2016, just seven days before her 86th birthday. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Survivors include her four children, Dewey Migues Jr. and his wife Tracie Migues, Thelma M. Landry and her husband Gerald Landry Sr., Johnny Migues Sr. and his wife Sandy Migues, and Sheila Migues and her husband Kenny Pellerin; one brother, Rivers Picard; special granddaughter, Brooke Manuel; 13 additional grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, special niece, Debra OConnor, and numerous additional nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Migues Sr.; an infant daughter; her parents, Ferdinand Picard and Clevelia Waguespack Picard; and six siblings, Raymond Picard Sr., Ray Picard Sr., Mae Comeaux, Hazel Ortez, Florence Bourque, and Joyce Champagne.
