Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick during an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Joseph Thibodeaux, a native of Franklin and longtime resident of Berwick, who passed away at his home at the age of 69 on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He will be laid to rest with his late wife in the Berwick Cemetery. Msgr. Douglas Courville will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the church, with family visitation at 8:30 AM, and public visitation at 9:00 AM and continuing until time of Mass. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:15 AM, led by Msgr. Courville.

Donald was, on many levels, an artist at heart. Some of his favorite pastimes were painting, listening to music, and cooking (especially for holidays). He also enjoyed his daily trips to Wal-Mart visiting with the employees and shoppers, and having breakfast every morning at McDonald's. He was a longtime employee of the Holiday Inn in Morgan City. His passion in life though was his grandchildren which he so loved. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two children, Michelle T. Williams and her husband Jim, and Michael Thibodeaux and his wife Jaime Stroud; five grandchildren, Austin Stroud, Kamrin Thibodeaux, Kaitlyn Bodin, Gabrielle Thibodeaux, and Isabella Thibodeaux; one great grandson, Ashton Stroud; two sisters, Antoinette "Nettie" T. Hull and Wanda Marie T. Bonin; and nieces and nephews, Donald Jr., Christine, Debora, Tammy, Margaret, Sean, Bobby, Sharon, Shane, Tessie, Stevie, Robbie, and Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean Green Thibodeaux; his parents, Cleveland Thibodeaux and Emily Fournier Thibodeaux; two brothers, Cleve and Floyd Thibodeaux; and one niece, Tana.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Thibodeaux, Jim Williams, Austin Stroud, Bobby Bonin, Sean Bonin, and Sharon Buck.
