Funeral services for Barbara Dupre "Bobbie" Schexnaildre will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass with Father Oneil Landry concelebrating. Following the Mass she will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent John St. Blanc III, Jack Wesley Cover, Randy Lloyd Gee, Vincent John St. Blanc IV, Aaron Christopher Borne, and Jerry Bourque.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10:00 a.m.

Bobbie was born in Franklin on August 2, 1927, the youngest of three daughters born to the late Aldes John Dupre and the late Louise Martin Dupre. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Charity Hospital School of Nursing, where she met her future husband, C.J. She was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Assumption, where she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Assumption, as well as a member of Come Lord Jesus. For Bobbie, every moment was an opportunity to teach something, whether it was about her faith in God or life in general, she made sure that you understood just what she wanted you to learn. Bobbie was also very involved in her children's and grandchildren's activities and day-to-day life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving and generous nature, volunteering her treasure, time, or talent wherever she could. Bobbie also believed in keeping a positive attitude towards everything in life and never complaining no matter what life handed her. Having lived a full life, on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the age of 89, Bobbie passed away surrounded by her family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include one son, Larry Stephen Schexnaildre of Keller, TX; three daughters, Karen S. St. Blanc and her husband Vinnie of Franklin, Chenette S. Cover and her husband Jack of Lafayette, and Carla S. Gee and her husband Randy of Shady Shores, TX; one sister, Muriel D. Bourque of Franklin; 13 grandchildren, Janine St. Blanc Borne and her husband Manville, Vincent John St. Blanc IV and his wife Tabitha, Elizabeth St. Blanc Causey and her husband Charles, Jennifer Adler Domingue and her husband Kevin, Laura Louise Adler, Jourdan Chenet Adler, Erin Schexnaildre Besaw and her husband Jimmy, Kimberly Ann Deshotels, Jamie Jourdan Deshotels Pucheu and her husband Philippe, Adam Lamar Kuehn, Andrea Kuehn Cunningham and her husband Scott, Heather Gee, and Holly Gee McCreery and her husband James; 18 great grandchildren, Caitlin Elizabeth St. Blanc, Emilyanne Marie St. Blanc, Olivia Claire St. Blanc, Anna Grace Borne, Aaron Christopher Borne, Charli Blair Causey, Myah Ashlyn Besaw, Adriana Besaw, Dominic Patrick Kuehn, Dylan Ezzo, Davin Kuehn, Brooke Cunningham, Brynn Cunningham, Cason McCreery, Colton McCreery, Philippe Emile Pucheu, Aubrey Ann Pucheu, and Jules Jourdan Pucheu; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Chenet J. Schexnaildre Jr.; one son, Kim Michael "Turtle" Schexnaildre; her parents, Aldes John Dupre and Louise Martin Dupre; and one sister, Vera Dupre Mire.

The family would like to thank Bobbie's doctors, Dr. Roland Degeyter, Dr. Lianter Albert, Dr. Ken Aycock, and Dr. Christopher Saal, her caregivers, Linda Rineholt, Allison Jones, Cecile Charpentier, Karen Scott, and Jennifer Darden, as well as the staff of Franklin Foundation Hospital for the loving and compassionate care given to their mother.
