A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 25, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista for Antonio "Chris" Costa, 60, a longtime resident of Patterson, who passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Teche Regional Medical Center. He will be laid to rest in the Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Father William Rogalla will be the Celebrant for the Mass.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Costa, Gino Barletta, Terry Holcombe, Mike Jones, Tim Gilmore, and Glenn Fuselier.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at the St. Bernadette's church hall beginning at 8:30 AM.

Chris' hobbies included anything dealing with electronics as well as amateur astronomy. He was also an avid Saints fan. He was a longtime employee of American Electronics in Morgan City, which he considered his second family. His grandson however, along with his entire family, was the joy of his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Susan Charpentier Costa; their two children, Mary Costa and Christopher Costa; his beloved grandson, Greyson Antonio Costa; his father, James Costa, Jr.; two sisters, Terrie Lynn Costa Cuevas and Carla Costa Kessling; one brother, Terry Holcombe; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.

He was preceded in death by mother, Juanita Henry Costa.
